Some lawmakers in the Lagos State House of Assembly have described the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a true leader and a paradox as he turns 65 years of age today.
Gbolahan Yishawu representing Eti/Osa Constituency 2, describes Asiwaju Tinubu as a father, a visionary leader and a mentor whose unbeatable spirit has helped to carve a niche in the society.
Yishawu added that through Tinubu, God has blessed Nigeria as he is the leading light of Nigerian modern politics which made him a household name because of his passion for the grassroots.
The Chairman House Committee on Waterfront Infrastructure maintained that TINUBU’S doggedness was instrumental to the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari.
In another comment Hon. Abdulsobur Olayiwola Olawale, representing Mushin Constituency 2, described Asiwaju Tinubu is an icon whose political power is not limited to Nigeria.
Olawale also objected the notion that Tinubu imposed candidates during the 2015 general election, with reference to the primary election of the APC in Lagos state that produced Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
He said: “Tinubu is a democrat, and has gone through a lot politically, yet not weary. He has always been overcoming all the bottlenecks before him; He is an enigma, Asiwaju that I know and served as Special Assistant, is very courageous,”
The Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Strategy and Publicity, Hon. Tunde Braimoh stated that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a democrat, and the change agent behind the political and economic landscape of Lagos.
It would be recalled that when Asiwaju Tinubu became the Governor of Lagos State in 1999, the state was at par with other States in the country but Asiwaju Tinubu raised Lagos to another pedestal with distinct, and it became a state, whose Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) is said to be equal to that of the 30 States in Nigeria. This progression was achieved through a pragmatic well tailored and implemented policy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
On the cabals in presidency, which are reportedly ganging up against Tinubu, Brahimoh stated that Governor El Rufai of Kaduna State recently spoke against them, as perpetrators of evil in the country.
He further described them as selfish people, while advising them to desist from their actions, because if Asiwaju were to be other mortals, he would have over-hit the polity, which would caused crisis.
Tinubu is no doubt a force to reckon with in the nation’s polity therefore Brahimoh has urge the cabals surrounding the presidency to desist from giving Asiwaju Tinubu a bad image as he has proven himself all in all ramification.
