Buhari phoned me from London over my wife’s death, says Dalung

The Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Mr. Solomon Dalung has stated that President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with him on the death of his wife, Briskila.
Dalung in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja by his media aide, Nneka Anibeze said the president commiserated with him through the telephone from London, United Kingdom.
According to the Minister, President Buhari during the course of the interaction prayed God to grant the soul of the departed eternal rest.
He said, in the telephone conversation, the date he failed to disclosed expressed shock at the death of his wife that came at an unripe age, prayed that God would forgive her sins.
He also prayed to God to give the family she left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.
The President promised to support the Dalung family in their moment of grief.
Mrs Dalung is survived by her husband and five children.
She died after a brief illness on January 29, in Jos.
The minister had announced the demise of his wife via his official Facebook page saying it is a huge loss that he could barely continue.
The funeral arrangements will be announced by the family soon.
