Ekiti loses former secretary to government, Gboyega

A former Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Chief Bade Gboyega, has died at the age of 76.

Gboyega, a native of Isan-Ekiti in Oye Local Government served as SSG between 2005 and 2006 during the first tenure of Governor Ayo Fayose.

He worked in the civil service where he rose to the rank of Permanent Secretary before he retired.

Gboyega also served as Chairman, Local Government Service Commission and Chairman, Civil Service Commission.

The state government described his death as a rude shock and great loss.

Head of Service, Dr. Gbenga Faseluka who paid a condolence visit to the family of the deceased said the news of Gboyega’s death was received with deep sorrow because of the key roles the deceased played in the development of the State.

Faseluka stated that the former SSG was an exemplary public servant and official who displayed exceptional patriotism and statesmanship in the various positions.
