The leadership of the Ogun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has continued with its gale of expulsion.This time, its hammer has fallen on the immediate past governor of the state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel and a member of House of Representatives representing Remo North Constituency, Ladi Adebutu.
Alongside two others, a factional state chairman, Sikirullahi Ogundele and his secretary, Tolu Bankole they have been expelled for allegedly undermining of the party.
Announcing the recommendation of the State Executive at a Press Conference held at the party secretariat, Abeokuta on Saturday was a factional Chairman, Bayo Dayo who said Daniel and others having been examined for their alleged anti-party activities and have been found guilty .
While justifying the expulsion of Daniel despite his status as a former governor, Dayo said the former governor has lost his rights since he had left the party.
Dayo said, Daniel rejoined the party in 2015 after he had left for the Peoples Party of Nigeria and Labour Party and he was treated as a returnee.
