“This laudable decision has once more buttress the agenda of the governor which becons mainly on the welfare of the masses and ensure the destitutes have a share from the dividends of government and democracy.

“The Social Security Scheme will tremendously alleviate poverty and ameliorate the standard of living of the helpless to a considerable extent in the present reality of economic hardship flowing in the Nation.

“On behalf of the over several thousands of Nigerian students studying in the tertiary institutions in Ekiti state, we request for 1,000 slots for the indigent students to mitigate the suffering of some helpless students and serve as a means of giving back to the students community which constitute 40% of the state and a region where the governor enjoys massive support from.

“The monthly allowance will rekindle the hope of some weak improvised students who can’t afford the necessary academic materials and adequate feeding to maintain the glory of academic excellence in the Fountain of Knowledge.

“We believe in the peoples governor and appreciate His excellency in the prospect of acceptance of our request and his staunch and unalloyed commitment to raising future leaders in the state.” He said.
