Breaking News Poll: DSS, Police seek postponement over threat to security

Indications have emerged on Wednesday that the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Department of State Security (DSS) have advised the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to shift this Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Edo State to another date.

They said the advice is based on credible security threats against the peaceful conduct of the election whose main contenders are Pastor Ize Iyamu of the PDP and Godwin Obaseki of the APC.
