Ondo governorship poll: APC Muslims pray for violent free primary

Ahead of November 26, governorship election in Ondo State, a group, the Muslim Council of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has prayed for a peaceful primary poll for the party. 

It also prayed that God choose a God anointed person as the next governor of the state. 

The prayer, which was held in Akure, the state and backed up with the recitation of the Holy Quaran by Imams and Alfas was witnessed by the State Chairman of APC, Hon. Isaacs Kekemeke, Senator Tayo Alasoadura, among many others.

In his remark, Kekemeke praised the party Muslims and prayed that their efforts in uplifting the party will not be in vain. 

He observed the need for the prayer to seek for a God fearing person, a compassionate governor and one who will have respect for the party and its members. 

He reiterated his commitment, loyalty and assurance to stand by the truth and not to allow rigging during the election. 

His words: “There will not be any problem during the party election, it will not be rigged because it will be transparent for all to see”. 

He expressed joy that the prayer came during the month of Ramadan, which he said was a period when prayers are answered. 

Kekemeke said he believed that the APC would emerge as the governor of the state. 

He also urged the Muslims to continue to pray that someone with corrupt mind do not take over the state again. 

Th state Chairman of the Muslim council in APC, Alhaji Wahaab Adegbenro said since the intentions of the aspirants is to serve the masses, the party primary would be violent free. 

He observed the importance of the prayer to seek God’s support for a hitch free primary poll.

While describing the Chairman of the party as a God fearing person, he applauded him for the approval of the prayer making use of the opportunity of the holy month to ensure the emergence of the best candidate.
