In a move that could be termed as making a u-turn, the Code of Conduct Tribunal has fixed June 7th, 8th and 9th for the continuation of trial of Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki.

At the resumed hearing, the cross examination of the Principal Witness 1Michael Wetkas is expected to be in the case against Saraki who is being docked on allegation of false asset declaration.

The court had earlier in the week adjourned indefinitely in the celebrated trial, a decision that sent many tongues waging prompting several insinuation of possible underhand dealing to scuttle the trial .

But press statement released by the Head, Press & Public Relations of the tribunal, Ibraheem Al-Hassan obtained on Thursday, states that the decision for the adjournment to the new dates was sequel to the abrupt written request from the lead prosecution counsel, Rotimi Jacob (SAN) on Wednesday, June 1st, 2016.

The requested stated that principal witness Mr. Michael Wetkas was scheduled to testify before the Federal High Court, Abuja, on the same date.
