Police yet to arrest culprits in APC Sallah day clash in Kano

Men of the Kano State Police Command said they have commenced investigation into the Saturday’s clash between supporters of immediate past Governor of the state, Alhaji Rabi’u Kwankwaso and the incumbent, Abdullahi Ganduje.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Magaji Majiya, disclosed this to newsmen in Kano on Monday, saying the Police had not made any arrest on the incident.

This notwithstanding, he added that the command have commence investigation into the matter with a view to finding out the cause of the incident.

“We have not made arrest, but we have commenced investigation into the clash to find out the circumstances behind the crisis,” he said.

He assured residents that the command had taken measures to prevent similar incident or any further break down of law and order.

Several people were said to have sustained injuries during the clash which occurred during the traditional Hawan Daushe Durban in Kano.
