West Ham coach drops Iheanacho for Hernandez

The real reason why West Ham United ended their interest in Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho has been revealed by a very reliable source of the London based side.

According to the very informed @ExWHU‎employee in a radio show monitored by Owngoalnigeria.com London based Michael James, coach of West Ham United Slaven Bilic pulled the plug on the deal.

Bilic said no to the signing of Iheanacho after hearing of the availability of former Manchester United striker ‎Javier Hernandez, who will cost less and has a better Premier League experience than the Nigerian.

Secondly the FA rule forbidding teams from loaning more than one player also played a role, as Bilic was still keen on Iheanacho despite signing Hernandez from Bayern Leverkusen, but had to make a choice between goalkeeper Joe Hart and the striker.

The manager settled for Hart as the goalkeeping area is a priority for the manager than the striker, hence opt to loan the shot stopper ahead of Iheanacho from Manchester City.
