Reps differ with Senate, okay devolution of power to states

Members of the Federal House of Representatives have voted for greater devolution of powers to the states.

They voted at plenary on Thursday in a move many have come to interpret as a marked disagreement with the Senate who had on Wednesday voted against the plan.

House endorsed devolution to states with 210 of members supporting the motion as against the 79 others who voted against it.
