Kaduna United targets win against Adamawa on Saturday

In its bid to return to top flight football next season, Kaduna United FC, says it will not drop points in their away matches beginning with the Week 17 match against Adamawa United on Saturday in Fufore.

The team’s Captain, Abubakar Hassan, told newsmen in Kaduna on Thursday after their training that the match was crucial to their dream of returning to the premier league.

“We have come this far and we are determined to pick all the three points against Adamawa United in Fufore.

“We have been working very hard since the beginning of the season, our coaches are the best around and their philosophy is yielding a lot of positive results,” Hassan said.

The skillful midfielder, who has scored four goals so far this season, took time to praise his teammates, including Teju Ojo and Moses Adikwu for their near perfect partnership in the heart of the defence.

“Their understanding is second to none; the likes of Chikadibia IK and Mathias Peter who are both on three goals are thorn in the flesh to every defence line.

“Paul Songo is the best right full back in the Bet9ja National League as far as I am concerned.

“His pace and crosses are superb and he has scored two goals so far with four assists this season and I believe he would score more goals and create more too.”

The team is currently fifth on the log with 21 points just two points behind second placed Yobe Desert Stars.

Kaduna United have five home and three away matches to play in the remaining eight matches in the Northern Conference.

The team’s away matches are against Adamawa United, Mighty Jets and Kogi United, and will host, Sokoto United, Jigawa Golden Stars, Kwara United, FRSC and Yobe Desert Stars in Kaduna.
