2019: Scores storm Osoba’s residence over Yayi’s ambition

Over 5,000 women spread across the 20 Local Government Councils and 37 LCDAs of Ogun State have besieged the private residence of former Governor of Ogun State, Aremo Olusegun Osoba in Ibara GRA, Abeokuta, calling for his support for the governorship ambition in Ogun State.

The women led by the Coordinator of the group, former Chairman of Sagamu local government area of Ogun state, Mrs. Funmilayo Efuwape, said the were in Osoba’s house to call for his support , saying, women of Ogun state have seen in Senator Adeola “a fit and proper person to occupy the seat of governor in Ogun State come 2019.’’

She said they have therefore decided to mobilize women across the state to support the senator’s ambition adding that the wife of the Senator Mrs. Temitope Adeola has been appointed as the Patron of the women group.

The women also launched a support group, “Gracious Sisters for Yayi Movement” to serve as the women wing of Senator Solomon Adeola aka Yayi’s ambition to contest for the seat of governor in Ogun state under the flag of APC.

The Ogun Central Senatorial Chairman of All Progress Congress , Hon. Kunle Adeshina, a former member House of Representatives, Ganiyu Hamzat, former Speaker of Ogun state House of Assembly, Tunji Egbetokun, a former chairman of SUBEB, Ogun State , Muftau Ajibola, some former elected council chairmen under Governor Ibikunle Amosun and former commissioners of Ogun State were all at the event.

Senator Adeola while speaking expressed gratitude to the women ,assuring them of taking the state to a greater heights.
