Akeredolu, lover of Muslims, says Group

For Muslims in Ondo state to be given recognition in the affairs of the state and Islamic development, they must speak with one voice and embrace unity.

The Chairman, Muslims Welfare Board (MWB) in the state, Alhaji Khaleel Fawehinmi made the observation, while playing host to members of the progressive Muslims council in Akure, the state capital.

The Islamic leader who assured that Muslims in the state would get their fair share of democratic dividends under the present Akeredolu’s government promised to always meet with Muslim leaders and other organizations in the state.
This according to him is to chart a new course for Islam development in the state.
He described Akeredolu as a lover of Islam who will not marginalize Muslims in whatever capacity.
Fawehinmi used the occasion to advise groups and other citizens of the state against using the media to attack government, insisting that the best approach is to employ dialogue.
Earlier, the chairman of the group, Alhaji Nurean Akorede had told the board chairman that the report purportedly carried on behalf of the group was the handi work of the detractors.
Also speaking, the Vice Chairman of the group, Dr. Ahmed Naibi appealed to Muslims in the state to be patient, 1assuring that the governor would be fair to all.
