Police IG orders promotion of inspectors, others

The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris has ordered the promotion of personnel from the rank of inspector and below to their next ranks.
In a statement issued by the Force’s spokesman, Mr. Jimoh Moshood, the measure forms “Part of on-going measures geared towards boosting the morale of Police officers and the utmost concern for the welfare of the officers and men of the Force.”
Though, Jimoh failed to state the number of personnel that would be affected by the directive, he however added that “The promotion is based on merit, seniority, commitment and dedication to duties.”
