Hoodlums torch APC chieftain’s house in Benue

Some yet to be identified hoodlums in the early hours of Monday set ablaze, the home of a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Gboko Local Government, Joseph Hilenyi.

During the course of the incidence the invading hoodlums destroyed farm produce and other valuables worth millions of Naira in the home of the politician.

Hilenyi, who was physically assaulted escaped death narrowly from the bandits who are suspected to be members of a secret cult.

They are also believed to be protesting the gruesome murder of father of their member, a notorious gang leader and rebellious beneficiary of the amnesty programme Mr. Torkuma Gyakpa aka ‘Wicked Chief’.

Hilenyi is a former youth leader of the APC in Gboko Local Government, a renowned farmer and constituency aide to Member House of Representatives for Gboko/Tarka Federal Constituency Rt. Hon. John Dyegh.
