NFF confirms March 23 date for Eagles, Senegal friendly tie

The leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that the Super Eagles will take on their Senegalese counterparts in a friendly march scheduled for London on March 23.
According to the NFF in a statement issued to newsmen on Tuesday, the march forms part of preparations for crucial World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon.
Nigeria will welcome newly crowned African kings Cameroon at the end of August in Uyo with the return leg four days later in continuation of the 2018 World Cup qualifying tournament.
The Super Eagles top the qualifying group with six points from two matches, while Cameroon are second on two points.
Zambia and Algeria are on a point each with the overall group winners advancing to the World Cup in Russia next year.
Incidentally, the Teranga Lions of Senegal were knocked out in the quarterfinals of AFCON 2017 by Cameroon.
