There are indications that the leadership of the Directorate for State Security (DSS) on Saturday grilled convicted former Delta State Governor, Chief James Ibori upon his arrival from the United Kingdom where he recently served out his 13 year imprisonment.
Sources close to the DSS told BLACKFACE in a telephone chat that Ibori who arrived the country in the wee hours of Saturday abound a British Airways flight from was quizzed for hours by the DSS before being allowed to catch another flight to Warri.
Though details of what transpired at the DSS office and why the invitation was extended to him was yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this reports, sources suggest that it might not be unconnected to the interphase that exists between Nigeria’s security community and its counterpart in the United Kingdom.
“The only thing I can tell you now is that Chief James Ibori was with us today for some hours,” the source who pleaded not to be mentioned stated, saying the former governor has since been left to undertake his trip back home.
