EDMARK holds trade fair, counsels Nigerians on obesity

The Osogbo branch of EDMARK International has held a trade fair and health Awareness Programme for the people of Osun State.
The event came with a promise to wage war against the menace of obesity which the company said has killed over 500, 000 people on the continent of Africa in the last five years.
Also, the fair featured symposium, counselling session, dance energizer and announcement of prices for participants who took part in the WEIGH-IN Game conducted by the organization during the event.
Speaking at the Trade Fair which took place at Leisure Spring Hotel, Osogbo, Head of Marketing and Business Development of the Osogbo branch of Edmark, Mr. Austin Amadi said organizing the event became necessary having observed that one of the major causes of incessant heart failure OBESITY.
Amadi said Obesity is caused by overweight and high blood pressure. He urged Nigerians to always check their weight status and exercise their body system daily.
Also speaking, the Deputy Head of Marketing of Edmark International in Osogbo, Mr. Ayodeji Adebiyi said the company is committed to the course of increasing life expectancy of Africans, stressing that one of the main goals of Edmark in Africa is to educate people against the spread of cardiac arrest and heart failure in the continent.
In his speech, the West Africa Head of Sales and Event Services of Edmark International, Mr. Aries Masoso, told the gathering that though his firm is not a university, but it posses educative and instructional materials which many universities do not have on health wellness.
He urged those that are over-weight to keep patronizing Edmark products in order to have a healthy living.
When challenged by news men that thronged the event on the impact of Edmark International on Nigeria economy, Masoso stated that Edmark financial solution park has assisted over 5,000 Nigerians to be gainfully employed while today, over 2,000 Nigerians are gainfully employed by Edmark International.
In the meantime, one of the highlights of the event was the launch of a fat burning package titled: P4 LOSE TO WIN, designed to sensitize people of Osun State on the need to lose fat to earn a god living.
The Multinational Corporation with presence in over 100 countries opined that the programme will be aggressively held across the 31 local government areas of the state, explaining that the idea is to let people know why it is very germane to LOSE FAT TO WIN a healthy living.
