Oparadike, ex-Daily Times MD dies of cardiac arrest in Lagos

Imo State Government has the death of former Managing Director of Daily Times Plc.
In a statement culled from the website of the state said, Oparadike who was a one time Commissioner in the state passed on in his Lagos home from complications arising from cardiac arrest.
The terse statement reads, “Oparadike was a renowned journalist per excellence. One of the earliest Mass Communication students to graduate with a First Class Degree from the University of Nigeria Nsukka. He went to obtain his Msc in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos.
“According to family sources, Sir Oparadike passed on in his home in Lagos on Monday (January 23rd) after suffering a heart attack.
“He was the first non-northerner to edit the Kaduna based publication, New Nigerian in the early 80s. Sir Oparadike served as the Honourable Commissioner for Information & Culture under the late Chief Evan Enwerem.”
