PDP begins campaigns for Etsako constituency bye election

The Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has kicked off its campaign for the January 28 by-election into Etsako Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives vacated by Hon Philip Shaibu the current deputy governor of the state.

The PDP campaign led by its state Chairman, Chief Dan Orbih, took the party to Ageneobde, Fugar and Auchi, headquarters of the three local government that made up Estako Federal Constituency.

Orbih, who presented the party’s candidate to the electorates, Comrade Jude Imagwe, also visited traditional rulers in the areas for royal blessings.
At the Palace of the Okumagbe of Wepa Wano clan at Agenebode, George Egabor Omoaze 1, Orbih appealed to traditional rulers to assist in the enlightenment of the people of the area about the Saturday’s by-election and the need to exercise their franchise in the election of who represent them in the House of Representatives.

Orbih described Imagwe as an upright and vibrant young man, noting that a vote for the him would bring integrity, unity and development to the constituency.

He urged the electorates not to be deceived into voting for the APC candidate, Mr. Johnson Eguakhide Oghuma, ‘because his eight years in the State House of Assembly was a waste to Etsako Central constituency.’

On his part, Imagwe said he was embarking on a journey that would bring even development, peace and unity to Etsako people.

He promised to provide employment opportunities for the youths, educational scholarship for students as well as skills acquisition for the army of unemployed youths.
