Tension in Abia as Orji schemes to make son Assembly speaker

By Our Correspondent
There appears to be palpable tension in Umuahia, the Abia State capital as the immediate past governor, Senator Theodore Orji is scheming to make his son, Chinedu the Speaker of the State House of Assembly.
This is because barring any last minute change in plans, the incumbent Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Martins Azubuike, will ve removed on Wednesday by members who have been mobilised to effect his removal from office.
Already, sources told BLACKFACE that a princely sum of N200m has been allegedly thrown into the project by those who want him out.
“The plot is to have Hon. Chinedu ‘Ikuku’ Orji replace him. If that fails, an alter ego, Hon. Chinwendu Kalu, steps in as speaker but what I know is that Azubuike would most likely be removed tomorrow.” The source stated.
The source who pleaded not to be mentioned added that, (Senator) TA Orji plotted that his son became a member of the state Assembly in a detailed plot to endanger Okezie Ikpeazu’s time as governor.
“The real game is not the office of speaker, but the office of Governor which will become the next target once impeachment of the speaker sails through.”
