No rift in Ondo APC over appointment, says party deputy chair

By Samuel Faleye, Akure

Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin has debunked suggestion that leaders of the party are at war over who should be appointment in the cabinet of the Governor-elect, Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

Adetimehin was reacting to a report that the party leaders are up against each others on who genuinely worked for the party and who should be appointed in the incoming cabinet.

He spoke with reporters at the reception organised by the Women Leader of the party in the state, Mrs. Omolara Atiba for women leaders at her residence in Owo local government.

The APC chieftain stated that the pre-election crisis, which he said rocked the party had been put behind it and that all party leaders are now united and ready to work with the incoming governor on his vision to transform the state.

He said “The incoming governor will form a robust cabinet that will serve the best of time because he knows what he wants.

“Akeredolu has a vision for Ondo state. I can say emphatically that there is no crisis in the party on the issue of appointment because the governor-elect is man who has the pedigree to carry everybody along. He has the capacity for any eventuality.

“So those carrying the rumours or misinforming the public that our party is in a fresh crisis on issue of appointment, are only aiming of causing disaffection in a government and a party that are yet to take over power legally.

“The votes giving to our party and our candidate during the election, was a sign that the good people of the state still trust President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration and that the governor-elect mean well for the state”.

He however urged women to support Akeredolu saying he has many goodies for them.

Atiba urged the governor-elect to create roles for women to play in his administration.
