I’m ready for Super Eagles, says Anthony Nwakaeme

Hapoel Be’er Sheva forward Anthony Nwakaeme is keen on making his mark for the Super Eagles if handed an invitation by coach Gernot Rohr.

Following his brilliant individual performance in the Isreali Premier League, the Camels second highest goal scoring player has stated his readiness to make his long-awaited debut with the Super Eagles

The 27-year-old who led the Turner Stadium outfit to a victorious 2015/2016 campaign with a staggering 11 goals in his first season has declared that he is all set to make his long-awaited Nigeria debut having admitted that he had been more committed to club duties in the past years.
With John Ogu and Nosa Igiebor handed Nigeria call-ups, the forward who has netted six times in nine appearances this season has expressed his availablity for the Super Eagles.
“Sure, I am ready if I am called to play for the Super Eagles, but the truth is, over the last few years, I have had to concentrate more on my club career,” Nwaekeme told AfricanFootball
“The journalists here in Israel always ask me why I don’t get called to the national team like Nosa Igiebor and John Ogu, but it is always the coach’s call to determine that, but if they call me, I will be available.”
Nwakaeme was on target for Hapoel Beer Sheva in their 3-2 win over Inter Milan on Thursday after converting a 70th minute penalty past Samir Handanovic to open his Europa League goal scoring account.
