EFCC to arraign Ogunlewe, three others over graft on Friday

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is set to arraign a former Minister of Works and ex-Pro-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe for official graft on Friday.

Ogunlewe is expected to be arraigned alongside three members of the Governing Council of Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) on allegations bordering on official graft during their tenure at the institution.

According to sources in the EFCC, Ogunlewe would be arraigned alongside the Vice Chancellor, Prof Olusola Oyewole, and the Bursar, Mr. Moses Olusola Ilesanmi, at the Ogun State High Court, Abeokuta.

Though, details of the allegations against them remained sketchy as at the time of filing this reports, they are to be charged for “abuse of office and misappropriation of funds reported against the management and some members of the Governing Council.”

Their ordeal might not be unconnected with a petition submitted by those who called themselves, Concerned Stakeholders of FUNAAB.
