I’ve resolved my issues with police, says ex-Toyin Aimaku’s lover

By Seun Agboola, Lagos

A Lagos based producer and ex-lover of a popular Nollywood actress, Ms Toyin Aimakhu, Mr. Seun Egbegbe has stated that he has resolved all issues relating to the theft allegations against him with the police.

Eyewitness accounts stated that Egbegbe went to a certain Keelcech Innovations Store in computer village, took two iPhone 7 and some iPhone 6+, told the sales girl he was coming, and then crossed to enter his Jeep.

But luck ran out of him when onlookers caught up with him and a mob gathered and beat him up but for the timely intervention of the owner of the store, Mr Kolawole Aleshinloye.

He was taken to the Area F Police station where he was reportedly detained.

But in a statement he personally signed on Wednesday, Egbegbe wrote that though he was at the computer village on Tuesday, he never stole phones belonging to the shop he visited.

On his reaction to the story, he wrote, “To say the least, the news did not only grossly misinform unsuspecting public; it also portrays traces of campaign of calumny by some mercenary hirelings hell bent in destroying my name, for reasons best known to them.”

In stating his side of the story, he wrote, “I want to state here categorically and emphatically that though I was at Computer Village to address some issues, but I was never arrested for stealing 10 I phone 7s, as stated by the writer of the story, the matter has since been resolved by the Nigeria Police; and the issue of me stealing phone is devilish from the said writer.

“Furthermore, It is rather unfortunate that the said writer will amount to cheap blackmail to deceive the unsuspecting public with a view of gaining cheap popularity.

“It is germane to note that I am a charitable, humane, and grass root person, who has exhibited selflessness in communal service, which have used as a veritable tool for social development.

“Finally, I wish to inform the general public to discard the report. I am presently at home relaxing!”
