SERAS CSR AWARDS – AFRICA 2016 held in grand style

The Seras CSR Awards-Africa  held on November 11,2016 at the shell hall, muson centre  Onikan, Lagos state. The Seras which is the prime platform on the African Continent promoting corporate social responsibility and sustainability, marks its 10th anniversary.

There were 27 award categories given to promote and to encourage hardwork of corporate bodies in line with sustainable development.

Dignatories who were present at the event include:Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the executive governor of Kano state represented by Kabiru Isa, senator Owan-Enoh, chairman senate committee on finance, Indira Kartallozi, the founder and director of Chrysalis Family Future, president of the republic of Botswana among others.

The first award categories given was the best company in poverty Reduction is Stanbic IBTC; British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation won best company in eradication of hunger; Chevron won best company in promotion of good health and well being; Promasidor won the best company in education; Etisalat won the best company in promotion of gender equality; procler and Gamble won best company In provision of clean water and sanitation; Investec Bank won the best company in affordable and clean energy; Nestoil won the best company in infrastructure development; Netcare won the best company in partnership for development; Shell Nigeria won the best company in climate action Seras Innovation award 2016; Unilever Plc won the best company in supply-chain management.

The best company in CSR Reporting is TV Continental; Multichoice Nigeria won the best improved company in 2016;Access Bank won the best company in sustainability reporting; the best company in CSR/Sustainability west Africa is Exxon Mobil: for southafrica:investec bank and for east Africa is Safaricom among others. THE Overall winner of the seras CSR Award Africa 2016 is Investec Bank.

Finally, the founder of the  Sera CSR Awards-Africa,Ken Egbas gave his remarks and encourage everyone to do more and continue to impact socially and responsibilty
