Excellence in Leadership Conference wind up grand style

Daystar Christian centre, on Friday,4th November 2016, raps up in grand style its annual Excellence in Leadership conference  personalities in attendance.

Speaking at the event, Prince Abimbola Olashore, the CEO of Lead Capital Plc. who said “One of the key aspect of leadership is the ability to listen, and that the government should not doubt the peoples ability and knowledge. He added that our institution has failed because there are no checks and balances.
Also present at the event was a media personality Mrs Mo Abudu and a philanthropist, who encouraged the youth to have a creative mindset. She also charged the leaders in the society to be role model and also learn from their mistakes.

The popular columnist Japhet Omojuwa commended the present government on the fight against corruption. He advised that government should work more on infrastructure, education, and land and should also make good use of this present tenure, because they do not have all the years.

Finally, the convener, Pastor Sam Adeyemi in his concluding remarks believes that if leaders would submit themselves to the leading of the Holy Spirit to influence them, then the present state of the country will be improved.

In an interview with pastor Sam Adeyemi, he said that the theme of the conference was given to him by inspiration from God and it was built around the church theme “Taking Territories”. He added that the goal of the ministry is to train people to develop their character, confidence and have a radical impact on an individual. Excellence in leadership conference 2016 is the 9th edition of its kind.

Speaking on the current state of the nation, he said “i describe this government as transition government in the sense that there are people who are interested in serving and ambitious and also there are people who are there for their selfish interest. Educating the masses on what the real issue is will get the country out of recession.

He further stated that corruption does not only involve embezzlement of money but that corruption is an act of engaging in any form of illegal behavior,  also stating that not only the government officials are corrupt but the young ones on the street as well.

He also noted that every sector in the country  is corrupt.  According to him, corruption in the state will continue to be if the basic needs of citizens are not met and that until we compel the politicians to serve Nigerians and serve aright, people will not be kept out of the street.

He further went on to advise that the mindset of every Nigerian must change and that all hands must be on deck.
