The Member House of Representatives representing Birninkudu/Buji federal constituency in Jigawa State, Honourable Magaji Da’u Aliyu empower 500 women and gave scholarship to 1,500 students on his constituency.
Speaking at the distribution ceremony the national law maker, honourable Magaji Da’u said the gesture as part of his campaign promised and in line with the yearning and aspiration of the people who gave him their mandate to represent them, added that education as the bedrock of development and has been one of his cardinal objectives in his designed agenda.
Honourable Da’u explained that 23 motorcycles and 23 wheel chairs was also distributed during the ceremony, adding that “2,313 students were benefited with the scholarship programme last year”.
According to him the programme is a continues and will pave way for other youth interested to advanced their studies in various institutions of learning, “I will continue to support my people at whatever cost to impact their living condition”.
He further disclosed that “The youth who have benefited from my education scheme including male and female are studying in various universities, colleges of education, polytechnics, school of nursing and midwifery among others and their studies will soon be useful to all humanity in our society.”
Hon. Magaji Da’u assured of his commitment to continue executing various development projects in all the nooks and crannies of the two local governments he is representing aimed at uplifting their status, commended those who have attended the commissions of his constituency office and prayed for their mercy journey back to their various destinations.
Also speaking, Coordinator of Hon. Magaji Da’u Aliyu, Barrister Murtala Isa Abubakar stated that the federal law maker has expended whooping sum of N183million in the execution of various development projects that have direct impact to the lives of the people of his constituency.
The projects which were spread across the two local government areas of Birnin-Kudu and Buji federal constituency include construction and rehabilitations of daily and Friday mosques and islamiyyas, renting of accommodation for students, procurement of 12 unit of transformers, fencing of mosques, procurement of 300 no of disable bicycles and motorcycles, among others.
Barrister Murtala Isah stated further that Hon Da’u secured employment for over 150 people of his constituency in various federal institutions which include Nigeria Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense, Navy and Air force, Federal Medical Center among others. “The program will continue as soon as the lawmaker heard of any employment opportunity.” He noted,
The PM according to his coordinator spent the sum of N1.2 million monthly as payment of salary to his 73 legislative aides whom he employed from his constituency to assist him in compiling demands of his people, stressed that directorate was established and leaders were appointed to manage the affairs which includes health, education, women affairs and community development.
