NSCDC nabs two with N3 mllion fake Naira notes in Sokoto

Two suspects have been arrested with fake N3 million notes by the Sokoto State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC).Those arrested are: 50-year old Aliyu Dahiru who hailed from Potiskum in Yobe state, and 30-year old Adamu Abdullahi from Dandume in Katsina state.

Parading the suspects before reporters, the Command’s Head, Mr Babangida Aliyu said they were arrested on Wednesday night at the Tudun-Wada area of Sokoto city.

Aliyu said:” They were said to have came to Sokoto to spend the fake currencies but only succeeded in spending N 300,000 out of the total. We got an intelligence report, we swung into action an we luckily arrested the suspects. They have all pleaded guilty and we will charge them to court today.”

Aliyu appealed to the residents to be cautious while transacting businesses with unknown and suspicious persons.

Similarly, the command also arrested a 25-year old man, Uzairu Abdullahi, for allegedly amputating all the limbs and arms of one, Shafi’u Ayuba.

”The suspect, along with four other suspects now at large,committed the offence on Sept.27,this year. He led the gang and committed the offence only sixteen days after he was released from the Sokoto Central Prison.

” We will charge him to court today, while we are striving to apprehend the fleeing suspects”, the NSCDC Commandant said.
