Emmanuel Emenike scored the only goal as Fenerbahçe defeated Konyaspor 1-0 away in a Turkish Super Lig encounter on Monday.
The ex-Nigeria international netted the match winner as the Yellow Canaries conquered Aykut Kocaman’s men on their ground.
Emenike who has not found the back of the net in the league since his strike against Gaziantepspor in September, but his goal from the penalty spot in the 25th minute proved the winner against the Anatolian Eagle.
Despite his heroics, the former Spartak Moscow forward was cautioned in the closing stages of the game at the Torku Arena.
The goal was the 29-year-old’s third of the season from eight appearances in the Turkish topflight.
Dick Advocaat’s side are fifth on the log and their next fixture see them welcome Karabukspor to the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on October 30.
