Lagos NIPR Hosts Summits on Digital PR

The Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) yesterday began a two day summit that focuses on the skills of Public Relations Practitioners in the digital era.

The summit tagged “Lagos digital public relations summit” had Mr Leo Stan Ekeh, the CE0 Zinx Technologies as Guest Speaker.

In his speech, Mr Leo Stan admonished public relations practitioners should think beyond the box.

“Public Relations is all about lifestyle. The first thing in public relations is self keep. Train yourself, be conscious of yourself in everything you do” he said.

Leo further said that public relations practitioners should see public relations as lifestyle.

“Do things that will add value to the society. You must follow the trend of a global economy. The greatest profession today is knowledge” he said.

Also speaking was Pricewill Omorogiuwa, a Chartered Marketer who delivered a lecture on the challenges and opportunities of using social media platforms in a public relations organization.

Other facilitators at the summit includes Taiwo Kola- Ogunlade, Head of Communications and Public Affairs, Google West Africa and Lola Pedro, Africa Regional Director Trend watching.
