Governor Bello Congratulates Victorious Kogi Confluence for Winning Kada Beach Soccer Cup

The Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello has hailed the victorious Kogi Confluence for winning the maiden Kada Beach Soccer Cup in Kaduna.

Bello also thanked the team for dedicating the trophy to him, assuring the players and officials of continued support.

In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Petra Akinti Onyegbule a copy of which was sent to Blackface News on Sunday, Governor Yahaya Bello said the feat of Kogi Confluence represents the “indomitable spirit of The Kogi people who believe in excellence”.

According to the Governor, his administration will remain committed to using sports as a veritable tool “for youth empowerment and employing the energies of the youth towards sporting success”.

“This is the second time we are winning a major Beach Soccer Tournament. This goes to show our comparative advantage in the sports. My administration will invest heavily on Beach Soccer and other sporting events to ensure we keep recording successes.

“This is the kind of success that brings happiness and unity to our people. We shall continue to use sports as a veritable tool for unity and cohesion among our people.

“My administration will honor the victorious Kogi Confluence Beach Soccer Team and encourage the team to keep doing our dear State proud”.

He charged youth across the State to imbibe the culture of excellence in order to keep the name of the State on the good map of Nigeria and Africa.
