The last may not have been heard of the career of former Super Eagles forward, Yakubu Ayegbeni as he is said to be well sought after by clubs in the English National League club.
One of the clubs, Boreham Wood is said to be in hot pursuit of former Everton in their bid to fortify their attack.
The Edo State born player made a career comeback through the club when he played for Boreham Wood against one of his former clubs Reading in a pre-season friendly.
According to the club’s manager Luke Garrard, the Nigerian is paying for entry to Boreham Wood matches this season, but still will not commit to joining the National League club despite training with the club since the summer.
“Yak is courteous, he comes and watches the games, he pays entrance. He’s fully on board with what I’m doing and what the club are doing,” boss Luke Garrard told BBC Three Counties Radio.
“I’m trying my hardest to get him to sign a contract. But as it stands I don’t know his current situation in terms of where he’s going or what he has planned.”
