A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo East Local Government area of Ondo State, Otunba Agboola Kelly has debunked claims that fake delegates list from the council was used during the just concluded governorship primaries.

Some aspirants and party leaders have been condemning the party primary which produced Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu as the winner and flagbearer of the party.

In a statement issued and signed on behalf of other party executives and made available to reporters in Akure, the state capital, Kelly said they are not party to the petition signed by their chairman which called for the cancellation of the poll.

He added that they have accepted the result in good fate and also urged other aggrieved aspirants and leaders of the party to support the winner.

He appealed to Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to urgently intervene in the crisis to save the party from going into poll with a divided home.

The state reads, “We the majority of APC executives in the 10 wards and 74 units of Ondo East local government heartily accept the result of the September 3, governorship primary that elected Akeredolu, as our candidate because the entire process was devoid of violence and free, fair and commendable.
