Ogunlewe is being quizzed alongside the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Olusola Oyewole and some management staff in respect of an alleged case of mismanagement of funds reported against them.

Prof Oyewole has been answering questions relating to a petition submitted to the EFCC by a group that called itself “concerned stakeholders” of the university.

It was alleged that the Pro chancellor and the vice chancellor were alleged to have been engaged in an “unbridled corruption and betrayal of public trust.”

According to sources, the former minister of Works arrived at the Iyaganku office of the anti-corruption agency clad in white simple white dress with deep lemon blue cap.

As at the time of filing this report, Sen Ogunlewe is still being interrogated at the Ibadan zone of the EFCC.

In recent weeks, the vice chancellor, Prof Oyewole had visited the EFCC Ibadan office at least two times in the last one month to answer questions relating to the alleged mismanagement of fund.

The union who noted that three of its members in FUNAAB have been suspended by the VC for writing a petition against him to the EFCC, stated that by moral and legal standard Prof Oyewole suppose not to be the Vice-Chancellor of the university presently.

Those suspended by the VC are:” Director, Environmental Management of the institution, Emmanuel Bankole, Deputy Director, Agricultural Medial Research Extension Centre, Lasun Somoye, and Princial Assistant Registrar of the institution, Abdusubor Salaam.
