Amokachi’s sons sign football deal with Besiktas

The 20-year old twin sons of ex-Nigerian international, Daniel Amokachi have been training since early May have put pen to paper by signing for Turkish giant, Besiktas.

The visibly elated father of the two budding talents made the announcement via his facebook page on Saturday, saying Nazim Amokachi and Kalim Amokachi wrote their names on 1-year contracts and move to Turkish champions, Besiktas.

According to him, the boys flew to Istanbul to undergo 1 week trial with the U21 team of Besiktas in the end of July.

During the trial Nazim Amokachi and Kalim Amokachi impressed the club’s sport management and the boys were requested to stay for another week after which contracts were signed.

“The brothers are both attacking minded players and are able to play as central forwards and as wingers. Unfortunately they didn’t have a chance to play any matches with JS Hercules before joining Besiktas, but their professional attitude and technical abilities at trainings were rated high by Hercules coaching staff as well as by their team mates.”

The elder Amokachi played 77 matches for Besiktas in the end of 90s, in which he struck 19 goals.

During his time in Turkey Amokachi become a cult figure among the fans winning hearts across the country and even among the supporters of other clubs.

His sons performances will be followed with great interest by Turkish football lovers.
