Kashamu expresses hope on quick resolution of PDP crisis

The member representing the Ogun West District at the Senate, Buruji Kashamu, has expressed hope that the crisis plaguing the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will soon be resolved. Speaking with newsmen in Abuja on Friday, Kashamu stated that the recent court judgment affirming the chairmanship of Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff he said he would work for quick resolution of the crisis rocking the party.

Recall that a Federal High Court, Abuja, on Wednesday affirmed Sheriff as PDP chairman. The court annulled a Federal High Court, Port Harcourt ruling which validated the National Caretaker Committee headed by Sen. Ahmed Makarfi.

According to Kashamu, he is not standing between two factions, but trying to resolve issues. ”I am not between two of them; I am for peace; we are trying to resolve issues. ” Sheriff wants the party to move forward, he is an easy going man. The problem would be resolved, I am sure.”
