Invest in tree planting, Fayose urges Ekiti residents

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has again called on people of the state to make environmental protection a priority through tree planting. 

He made this known while flagging off a tree planting campaign on Monday at Apostle Babalola Memorial Secondary School in Efon Alaaye. 

Mr. Fayose who stated that the campaign was brought to schools so as to encourage students in appreciating the importance of tree planting called upon forest guards and the ministry of environment as a whole to make sure illegal tree felling is curbed.

The honourable commissioner for environment, Hon Bisi Kolawole in his welcome address stressed that the tree planting campaign is geared towards mobilizing participation of schools, private organizations and communities in forest development.
