By Olaolu Oladipo, Lagos

For governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has distanced himself from a publication on an online blog, SAHARA REPORTERS suggesting that he is part of a plot to remove President Muhammadu Buhari from office. Reacting to the publication in a statement he issued on Wednesday, Wamakko described the report as unsubstantiated, defamatory, deceptive and fallacious.

In the statement, he said the APC ‘ change government’ and its leadership under President Muhammadu  was a child of necessity collectively and decisively nurtured to fruition and cannot be sabotaged in whatever way by players like himself who stood their grounds to get to the present state of affairs.

The blog had in the report, alleged that Senator Wamakko was holding meetings with some of his colleges to actualise some clandestine moves on heinous plans to impeach President Buhari.
