Haji operation: Jigawa approve 2 carriers, pays N753m to commission

Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board (JSPWB) had selected Max Air Limited and Azaman Air Services to transports it’s intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj. Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Sani Alhassan said Max Air would transport 1,969 while Azman Air would airlift 400. 

He explained that the board had so far deposited over N753 million to National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for the intending pilgrims. 

Alhassan noted that the amount represented 50 per cent of the total cost of 2,369 seats allocated to the state by NAHCON. 

According to him, about 70 per cent of the state pilgrims had paid their full fare for the hajj exercise. 

The total 2,369 pilgrims from Jigawa are expected to perform this year’s Hajj in the holy land from the state.
