At Sallah, Ogbomosho monarch seeks tolerance, peace

The Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade 111 has felicitated with Muslim faithful on the successful completion of Ramadan fast. In his message of solidarity, the monarch stated that it is important for traditional rulers and religious leaders to sensitise the people on the benefits of peaceful co-existence irrespective of tribal, political and religious differences. 

In a statement signed by his Private Secretary, Toyin Ajamu, Oba Oyewumi said, “I wish to congratulate the Muslim community on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, which marks the successful completion of the Ramadan fast. 

“We give glory to Almighty Allah who has given us the opportunity to witness yet another Sallah celebration. I wish to admonish Nigerians to embrace peace and unity for the sake of development. 

“All hands must be on deck to complement efforts of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government in promoting a prosperous Nigeria”. 

While tasking the political class to cater for the well-being of the citizenry, he called on Nigerians to remain law-abiding and patriotic. 

The royal father wished the Muslim Ummah a rewarding celebration.
