The Economic Financial and other Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned a former Minister of Finance and Director of Finance PDP Presidential Campaign Organization, Mrs Nenadi Esther Usman, and a former Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode before a Lagos High Court.

Also arraigned on Tuesday were one Danjuma Yusuf and Jointrust Dimensions Nigeria Limited before the court presided over by Justice M. S. Hassan.

The EFCC slammed a 17-count charge bordering on conspiracy, stealing, corruption and making cash payments exceeding the amount authorized by law on the accused.

The accused were alleged to have stolen and illegally disbursed about N4.9 billion Naira belonging to the Federal Government of Nigeria for political and personal uses.

When their pleas were taken by the court, the defendants pleaded not guilty to all the charges preferred against them.

The Judge, however, ordered that the defendants be remanded in prison custody and adjourned to Friday, July 1, 2016 for hearing of bail applications.
