By Wahab Akanji, Abuja

Two prominent politicians in Delta State, Chief Great Ogboru and Victor Ochei have indicated their desire to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The two are expected to meet with the National Working Committee of the party in Abuja on Tuesday.

Delta State Chairman of the APC, Jones Ode Erue is expected to lead them to the national leadership led by Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.

Ogboru contested the 2015 governorship elections as Labour Party (LP) candidate while Ochei was the Accord Party (AP) Delta North Senatorial flag bearer in 2015 in the same election.

Ochei was Speaker of the state House of Assembly (DTHA) during the tenure of former Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan.

A statement released in Asaba said Odigie-Oyegun will receive the two political tacticians who recently dumped their former parties; Labour Party (LP) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to join the APC in Delta State.
