Jonathan seeks support for FG in fight against terrorism

By Olaolu Oladipo, Lagos

The immediate past president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has condone with the government and the people of Adamawa State on the spate of terrorist attacks on the state by members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect.

This is coming just as he urged Nigerians to support efforts of the current government in ridding the country of violent extremism.

In a post on his social media facebook page on Saturday, he stated that the war cannot be won by government alone, saying all Nigerians must come on board to eradicate the scourge.

“I condole with the families of those killed in Adamawa by terrorists. Wherever it occurs, terrorism affects all Nigerians, because none of us are safe until all of us are safe. As such we must unite against terror.

“I urge all Nigerians to support the FG in its fight against terrorism. I also salute our security forces who are doing so much to protect us. We owe them a huge debt of gratitude. May God bless Nigeria.” He wrote.
