Horror as students recovers body beheaded biker in Auchi

By Tony Ehighiale, Benin City

There was commotion in the sleepy town of Auchi as students of the Federal Polytechnic located in the town discovered a headless body of a commercial motor-cyclist in front of their campus II.

The severed head of the victim was in a little distance while the victim’s motor-cycle was found by her road side.

As at the time of filing this report, it was not clear whether it was a case of murder or ritual killing but some witnesses claimed the victim was killed by a hit and run lorry.

Unit Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Moses Bature, who confirmed the incidence to newsmen on Tuesday gave the name of the victim as Clement.

Moses told our reporter that the corpse has been deposited at the mortuary but that the cause of the death was yet to be ascertained.

He said, “We didn’t see any vehicle in that place. We cannot say whether it was a hit and run and any other thing.”

“People said they saw the headless body in the morning and they called the police. It was the police that called us.”

“The family came and identify the body.”
