Ex-rep urges FG to dialogue with N’Delta militants

A former member of the House of Representative, Honorable Adamu Bala Kuta, has warned against the use of force against the militants operating in the Niger Delta region. 

According to Kuta using force will further worsen the already precarious situation in the region. 

Kuta who represented Shiroro, Munya and Rafi federal constituency told newsmen in Minna on Tuesday added “I strongly disagree with the federal government on the use of force. That will not solve the problem but will rather worsen the already bad situation.” 

He appealed to Niger Delta militants to lay down their arms and embrace dialogue with the federal government in order to allowed peace reign in the region. 

“I urged the Boys to stopped the bombing of oil facilities because this will affect every Nigerian including those involved in the menace of destruction of such installations”. 

The former lawmaker who stressed that the unity of the nation is not negotiable saying that Nigerians must be their brothers keepers regardless of tribal, religious and geographical differences.
