Osun APC tasks Muslims to seek God’s favour for Nigeria

By Akeeb Alarape, Osogbo

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged Muslim faithful to observe the 30-day traditional fast with earnest prayers to Allah to come to the aid of Nigeria generally and the state in particular.

According to the party in a statement it issued on Monday, the call became pertinent if the country is to overcome the enormous challenges that it faces.

This call is contained in a statement by the Party’s Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy, Kunle Oyatomi and made available to the media Monday.

According to the party, “The grave economic, socio and security challenges which Nigeria faces today cannot be solved solely by human efforts. We need all the spiritual help we can get.”

The party said further, “We should recognise this period of fasting as opportune time to seek Allah’s favour in addressing all our challenges.

“The economic situation in the country today is being compounded by the security challenges we face and we require constant supplication to the highest spiritual source for quick solution to the crisis.

“It is in this regard that the APC is urging not only moslems, but every other Nigerian to pray hard for God’s mercy and favour, so that nomalcy can return to the country.’
