The National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) has announced fares to be paid by intending pilgrims to this yearâ€™s Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
The commission made the announcement in a statement issued by its Head, Media Unit, Uba ManaÂ on Friday.
According to Mana in the statement, â€œThe National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) hereby announce the 2016 Hajj fares as follows: â€œNorthern departure zones: minimum fare (with $750 BTA) N 998,248.92; medium fare (with $1,000 BTA) N1, 047,498.92 and maximum fare (with $1,500 BTA) N1, 145,998.92.
â€œSouthern departure zones: minimum fare ($750) N1, 008,197.42; medium fare ($1,000) N1, 057,447.42; and maximum fare ($1,500) N1, 155,947.42.
â€œThe Commission uses this medium to request the States Boards, Agencies and Commissions to speed up the process of collecting the balance of the hajj fares from intending pilgrims and remitting same to NAHCON to facilitate early conclusion of necessary arrangements.
â€œOther hajj fare components which include suitcases and uniform are to be determined by the State Pilgrims Boards, Agencies and Commissions.â€
