Lagos based businessman makes serious bid for 3SC

The Chief Executive Officer of a Lagos fixed odds (betting) company, Otunba Akin Alabi has expressed his to take over the Ibadan, Oyo State based sporting outfit Shooting Stars from the state government.

According to Alabi, his bid is aimed at reviving its fortunes of the popular sporting outfits to regain its old winning streak.

In recent times, the Ibadan based outfit has not been enjoying the best of time as they are languishing in the relegation zone of the NPFL with players and technical crew owed backlog of salaries.

The team’s problem was further compounded with the coaches Kadiri Ikhana and Friday Christopher have stepping down as handlers of the team.

Alabi though admits that he has not done enough for the Oluyole Warriors, but feels the surest bet to making the club a force to be reckoned with again is by taking over the club should the Oyo state governor Abiola Ajimobi give his blessings.

“We sponsored the club this season but it’s not enough. Maybe we will launch a bit to buy it if gov Ajimobi permits,” Alabi tweeted.
